Safety Requirements & Regulations

Listed below, you will find measures we are taking as a business to protect your health and safety.

  • You do NOT have symptoms such as coughing, sore throat, fever, or shortness of breath and affirm that you, as well as your household members DO NOT currently have, nor have experienced symptoms above within the last 5 days. If you have any of the symptoms mentioned above, please be honest and reschedule your appointment.
  • Masks in Salon, for both Brush team members and guests will be up to the individual's personal discretion.
  • Brush Salon team members are encouraged to wear their masks while at work.
  • If you would like your stylist to wear a mask during your appointment, just ask - we would be more than happy to! Please touch base with your stylist upon arrival.
  • Plexiglass barriers will still be in place until further notice.
  • Guests will still be required to answer the COVID-19 pre-screening, located at the front desk upon arrival.
  • Capacity limits are no longer in effect. 
  • There will be no change in our existing sanitization procedures.
  • We will be bringing back beverage service by May 1st, 2022. 
  • Purses and bags are still not permitted on our counter tops, please stow it safely below.
  • Upon entry to the salon, please wash your hands or use the hand sanitizer provided. Thank you!
  • To avoid the Cancellation Fee - please call or email the salon within 48 hours of your scheduled appointment. Failure to adhere to this will result in a Cancellation Fee.

 

Our Commitment to you

    Your health and safety are of utmost importance. We are thoroughly trained in health and safety protocol mandated by both Health Canada and Worksafe BC. Furthermore, our team is 100% certified in the usage of Barbicide. We look forward to having you in our safe space and creating your dream hair!

    • We have two hand sanitizer stations in the salon. One in the bathroom and another at the front desk. 
    • Brush Salon team members will wash or sanitize their hands upon arrival. 
    • We are able to accept tap payment on our machines for all payments under $200. We will clean and disinfect the machine in between each use.
    • All tools and hard surfaces will be disinfected between guest. 
    • We will be using a freshly laundered cape and towel for each gue

    We understand this may not be the "normal” you are used to. However, we are excited to spend quality time with all of our amazing guests whilst creating beautiful colours and the latest hair styles. Because girl, roots are for trees.

    If you are not able to find a spot online, give us a call. We are able to accommodate more quickly over the phone due to high requests/emails for our Stylists.

    Please note, due to the nature of our services, the salon is not responsible for any lost or damaged clothing* 

    BRUSH salon requires a credit card number to reserve your appointment. We understand you have a busy schedule and we are more than happy to cancel or reschedule your appointment within 48 hours of your scheduled service. 

    If you cancel within the 48 hour window, this will be considered a late cancellation and you will be charged 50% of the cost of your service scheduled. Cancellations less than 24 hours before your appointment, or a no-show, will be charged at the full price of your service scheduled.

    We have a diverse array of parking at both of our locations. In East Vancouver, you can find complimentary street parking directly in front of the salon after 10:00AM.

    At our Gastown location, you can find metered street parking or Easy Park parkade directly across the street. As our Gastown location is in a bustling area, please allow additional time to secure a spot.

    We believe in inclusivity and strive to make you feel confident and comfortable in a safe space. If you have a preferred pronoun (she/her, they/them, he/him) please feel free to let us know and provide us with your preferred pronoun!

    We understand, sometimes things can come up. If you’re running late, please notify the salon via phone +1 (604)-559-1737 as soon as possible. We may be required to modify the service originally scheduled to accommodate your appointment. Arriving more than 15 minutes late
    could end up as a cancelled appointment as we may not have enough time to fulfill your scheduled service.

    In saying that, we do our best to begin and finish our services on time. However, as all our guests have unique needs, we can run behind from time to time. We will do our best to inform you if we are running behind and will contact you as soon as possible. Thank you for your
    patience and understanding on this matter.

    We want our guests (often other mother’s enjoying some time away from their own) to feel relaxed and at ease when visiting us. We kindly ask that you find child care and keep children at home. However, we understand that circumstances can change. If bringing your child, please assist them in respecting our space to ensure our guests can have the relaxing experience they deserve.

    As a pet-friendly salon, we are pleased to welcome service animals and well-behaved dogs at BRUSH. Please ensure your dog is leashed at all times throughout your service.

    Out of respect of other guests and to maintain a serene atmosphere, smartphones and other electronic communication devices are to be silenced during your appointment. If you need to make a phone call, please make it away from other guests.

    If you are unable to find an appointment with your regular stylist, you are welcome to book with any other BRUSH team member. You are our priority and we all aim to serve everyone’s guests, not only our own.
